D’Angel is excited about returning to Canada to perform for fans today, three years since her last performance there before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The singjay is set to headline ‘Summer Body: Bare as You Dare’ at the Symphony Banquet Hall in Mississauga.
“I’ve grown since the last three years with new music and a new style so I’m very excited to go and perform for my fans,” she told THE WEEKEND STAR. “You know mi have the summer body right throughout the year so the theme is fitting, so, I’m going to do what I do best – entertain. Canada can look forward to the sexier side of D’Angel as the theme says.”
Other performers at the event include Keywee, Chrome, Chyna and Outtavawda. D’Angel will also be promoting her Xposed by D’Angel lingerie line while there.
On the new music radar, the entertainer is pencilling out the release date for the upcoming song, Pick the Man. The track peels away at another conservative layer which D’Angel has been doing in recent years with tracks like Exposed.
“Overall, men are always engaging women into different activities and threesome is one of the popular ones. So I did a song about that and the reverse, saying if mi bring a man into the bedroom, how would you feel?” she explained.
She acknowledged that the topic is new to her catalogue, but said it complements her way of expressing herself through her music.
“This is something different, but you always have to try different things. I just try to keep it as true and realistic to myself as possible.”
D’Angel’s current releases include Goddess, a response track to Macka Diamond’s Dream Body in their recent friendly rivalry. She is also finalising details on her debut EP Exposed.
