At least six persons were injured yesterday after a race car crashed into spectators at Vernamfield in Clarendon.
Deputy Superintendent Anton-Gur Cardoza, acting head of operations for the Clarendon police, told THE STAR that the incident is being investigated.
“All I can confirm at this time is that there was an event there and a vehicle lost control on the strip, the Vernamfield strip, and it hit down spectators at the particular event,” Cardoza said.
“I can confirm that at least six persons sustained some injuries and they were taken to hospital and are currently being treated.”
