Spectators were injured in a crash at the Vernamfield Aerodrome in Clarendon on Sunday afternoon.
The incident happened at Drag Rivals, a drag racing event being staged at the airstrip.
One of the cars in action veered off the track and ran into the crowd standing on the sidelines after launch.
It is understood that at least four persons, including a female whose condition is considered to be serious, were taken to hospital for injuries. The extent of the injuries are not yet known.
“The car just mek a sudden turn to the right, into the barricade,” an eyewitness told STAR Sports. “A female got badly injured, not sure of her condition as she was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.”
